Mr. T The Tragically Hip - "Wheat Kings"
Love me some Hip...
Runner Up... Van Morrison - "Jackie Wilson Said"
G-Man Manic Street Preachers - "If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next"
It's almost a sin to pick their biggest North American single, what with so many fantastic deep tracks from so many spectacular albums to choose from. This one came on my playlist while trying to pick between a few other candidates and it just hit me. I had to go with the Preachers. This was the song that made me aware of their existence anyway.
Runner Up...
Weezer - "Unspoken"
Speaking of deep tracks, here's one off of Weezer's 2010 album Hurley. I give Weezer a bit of grief, which I feel is often justified, but there is no denying that this soft, short acoustic jam is one of their bright spots.
Whoops! A few days late but we'll make up for it by picking more songs than our usual 3
Rob At The Drive-In - "Proxima Centauri"
At The Drive-In - "Metronome Arthritis"
Mr. T Steve Miller Band - "Swingtown"
G-Man The Lightning Seeds - "Pure"
I Love obscure 90's songs. How did some of these great songs get by me? "Pure" by The Lightning Seeds is one of the best songs of all time. Simply put
Special guest pick!! Hurricane The Kinks - "Destroyer"
