Mr. T

The Arkells - "Hey Kids"

G-Man

Tool - "Hooker With A Penis"

Don't let the name deter you from giving this song a chance. The uncomfortably named "Hooker With A Penis" is a high energy, brutally honest look at the music industry and especially those elitist fans who give of the air that they're better than the rest because they refuse to acknowledge the mainstream. Maynard and co. have always had a "fuck you" attitude and have written songs about whatever the shit they want. I hope they continue to do so

Flo-Rida - "Let It Roll"

July 10th, 2015

Here at Song Of The Day Friday we're taking a look and lifting our glasses to a time when Hip-Hop music was about breaking out the cardboard and showing off your dancing chops. Before it was all about image and street cred, back when a song was put on that was simply meant to bring people together and get down. We're all picking a great Breakdancing Song. Rob is still on the clock....

April Wine - "Rock & Roll Is A Vicious Game"

A great Canadian band that doesn't get as much air time on todays radio stations as they should.  Originating from Halifax, these guys made it big through the 70's into the 80's and haven't stopped.  You can usually find them touring the local fair scene throughout the summer.  Being this close to Canada day, I figured I would start now.  Plus, April Wine is Ricky's favourite band!!

G-Man

Mr. T is back!!
After a long leave of absence, exploring the new ways of the world, shaking babies and kissing hands, I'm back.   What better way to come back then with a classic.  Jewish guy singing about Jesus, 4 chords and some distortion.  Here come the weekend!

Also a big welcome to Douglas!!

G-Man

Edwin - "Alive"

Stevie Wonder - "Sir Duke"

G-Man

Drive Like Jehu - "Here Come The Rome Plows"

These guys inspired the likes of At The Drive-In and are nearly responsible for that whole not-punk, not-metal speed-core rock style of the late 90's, early 2000's. Other associated acts are Hot Snakes, Pitchfork and Rocket From The Crypt. Check them all out.
