Welcome to June!

Rob

Plain White T's - "Hate (I Really Don't Like You)"

Mr. T

Stevie Wonder - "Sir Duke"

G-Man

Drive Like Jehu - "Here Come The Rome Plows"

These guys inspired the likes of At The Drive-In and are nearly responsible for that whole not-punk, not-metal speed-core rock style of the late 90's, early 2000's. Other associated acts are Hot Snakes, Pitchfork and Rocket From The Crypt. Check them all out.

Rob

Dave Matthews Band - "Don't Drink The Water"

Mr. T

The Tragically Hip - "Wheat Kings"

Love me some Hip...

Runner Up...

Van Morrison - "Jackie Wilson Said"

G-Man

Manic Street Preachers - "If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next"

It's almost a sin to pick their biggest North American single, what with so many fantastic deep tracks from so many spectacular albums to choose from. This one came on my playlist while trying to pick between a few other candidates and it just hit me. I had to go with the Preachers. This was the song that made me aware of their existence anyway.

Runner Up...

Weezer - "Unspoken"

Speaking of deep tracks, here's one off of Weezer's 2010 album Hurley. I give Weezer a bit of grief, which I feel is often justified, but there is no denying that this soft, short acoustic jam is one of their bright spots.

Rob

Everclear - "So Much For The Afterglow"

Note from G-Man: "Great pick! One of the best title track/lead off tracks"

Mr. T

Boston - "Foreplay/Long Time"

G-Man

Fleetwood Mac - "Blue Letter"

I've said it before and i'll say it again: I am a Fleetwood Mac fan. Worship their entire catalog. This is a deeper track from their self titled album, but it rocks n' talks. One thing I really like about Fleetwood Mac is the fact that you can hear 5 straight songs by them and they all sound different from one another. Keepin' it fresh!
