Foo Fighters - "Everlong"

As Dave Grohl transitioned from his days with Nirvana to the Foo Fighters many thought it was too soon! Their self titled album(or Dave Grohl's solo album) rocked with high energy and great to sing melodies! Then "The Colour and the Shape" came out in 1997 with a strong list of great tracks, one and only "Everlong" put this group in a different league then the rest. As the group added members the sound filled itself out, with The Foo Fighters writing more high octane tunes now mixed with some ballads they were on there way to something great. As always G-Man and I agree that Everlong is the quintessential rock tune from the 90's. Hope you enjoy!

Incubus - "Glass"

On a 1997 late summer day I can still remember sifting through piles of cd's at cd warehouse. I came across the album "Science" by Incubus. I had heard some of their stuff off of "Fungus Amongus" but really got hooked once I bought Science. "Glass" wasn't a huge commercial hit for the group but is a song which I find blends their sound from then to now. Unlike most groups Incubus started off heavy and melodic and stayed true to their style for over 20 years! This tune really shows their ability to stay true to the Incubus sound. I hope you enjoy!

Sheepdogs - "Downtown"

Flogging Molly - "If I Ever Leave This World Alive"

It's funny how a song means one thing to you before a life changing event and then after a similar event it puts the listening experience in a completely different perspective. This was once a leaving town song...now it's something else.
