G-Man Black Sabbath - "Black Sabbath"
They started out as Earth doing mostly blues covers around England. It turned out another band had been using that name, so they had to come up with another. Guitarist Tony Iommi had a terrifying experience one night, seeing a dark ghostly figure staring at him from the foot of his bed. He wrote a song about it and called it "Black Sabbath". The band liked it so much that they used it for their name. It also signaled a change to a heavier style of music for the band. This album turned 50 yesterday. Released Feb 13th 1970 and with it ferried in the world of Heavy Metal.

In the 90's we had a term called Industrial Music, a fusion of techno, electronic and heavy metal. Fluke dipped more into the techno pool, but it harkens back to an exciting time. Industrial never really had it's day in the Sun, but it's nice to go back and peer beneath the surface once in a while
