Southside Johnny - "Little Girl So Fine"
G-Man
Kix - "Body Talk"
Heavy Metal was my first love, and when I say metal I mean the classic stuff and thrash. Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath. So I always looked down my nose at Hair Metal. I still kind of do. But over time I grew fascinated by the short lived genre, which for better or worse, has an important place in Music History. I also thought that with so many bands in an over saturated movement, there must be some gems among the fluff. Enter Kix. A group from Maryland that for some reason never saw the fame of say Poison, Ratt, Quiet Riot or Def Leppard. Strange as both these songs I feel demonstrate more skill, talent and are worthy of repetition moreso than their more popular quaffed colleagues.
Probably had something to do with their band name though. It was the 80's...there were still so many good names out there and they land on Kix. Anyway...
