Garland Man
Stiff Little Fingers - "White Christmas"
Doug-Nog
The Tragically Hip - 1989 XMas Party CFNY

The Pogues - "Fairytale Of New York"
For Shane McGowan
Jolly HP
Sabaton - "Christmas Truce"
Mike December 25th
The Killers - "Joel The Lump Of Coal"
Jingle Bell
David Bowie & Bing Crosby - "Little Drummer Boy"
Might be a "ho hum" choice, but still two epic music icons flushing this one out is pretty awesome
Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Song Of The Day Fridays! Thank you as always for checking us out and here's to a great New Year!
Mr. Fros-T
Albert King - "Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin'"
Gaudy Xmas Decoration-Man
Hawskley Workman - "The Coldest Night Of The Year"
As the whole Province prepares to baton down the hatches, my mind wanders to this old favourite track. Xmas can be a happy, festive time, but also a quiet, pensive time. An opportunity to reflect on your own. Let your mind travel, to past, present and years yet to come
DougThe Halls
Michael Buble - "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas"
Dano Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Bad Religion - "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing"
Always and Forever
Jonny Holiday Party
Bing Crosby - "I'll Be Home For Christmas"
Mike December
Jon Kull - "Auld Lang Syne"
From the best Christmas Movie, Krampus.
Alessia Cara - "Make It To Christmas"
Jingle Bells
Thumpasaurus - "You Are So Pretty" (Live At The Echo)
Despite it being a very Merry Christmas, i'm going with a band I just discovered. It's a band with music we need more from. It'll make you have a very very good Christmas. Check them out and feel the good vibes we all need!
Hello all and happy December! With Christmas right around the corner some of the Song of the Day Friday members have gotten into the Xmas spirit! Let's see what we have this week! Mr. T, kick us off please!
Mr. T
Dr. John - "Peace Brother, Peace"
Gingerbread-Man
Sabaton - "Christmas Truce"
My first introduction to this Swedish heavy metal group is an epic Christmas tune! Finally someone does the legendary Christmas Truces story from the first World War justice through song. It's an amazing story and one that makes me stop and think. Especially during this time of year. Be good to each other everyone. Always.
You all good out there? Another St. Patrick's Day is in the books and this one might have had a different feel from the last few as COVID restrictions are finally beginning to ease. Some of your favourite watering holes and juke joints may have been rejuvinated with the sounds of merry men and women once again. Let's see how the Song Of The Day boys celebrated...
Rob
TBD
Mr. T
The Irish Rovers - "Black Velvet Band"
G-Man
High Contrast - "Racing Green"
Maybe not a song that typically comes to mind when thinking about St Paddy's Day music, but it's one of the best songs i've been introduced to recently and hey, it's got Green in it's title!
Doug
Bing Crosby - "McNamara's Band"
Dano
The Town Pants - "New South Wales"
Jonny HP
Cutting Crew - "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight"
Catchy as fuck. Good luck not singing along
Mike D
Lights - "In My Head" feat. Josh Dun
J.B.
Faithless - "Woozy"
Faithless got their start back in 1994 and have been pumping out jams that have catered more to the Euro Dance scene. Albeit, they're worth a listen to and a deeper dive into their catalog is bound to leave you with a few new favourites
4 days away folks! It's Christmastime again and we here at Song Of The Day have decided to once again showcase some of our favourite Holiday tunes!! Rob.....get it on...
Rob-nosedReindeer Eve 6 - "Noel Noel"
Mr.Tanenbaum Run DMC - "Christmas In Hollis"
Giftwrapped-Man No Doubt - "Oi To The World" Not sure if i've picked this one for Xmas in the past or not. Ah, screw it. Nothing more fun than that infectious bass line and Gwen Stefani's vocals recanting a tale of race drive gang violence quashed by the magic of Christmas. It's originally a Vandals tune, but I dig this version's energy a little more.
Doug by the Chimney With Care Bing Crosby - "Silent Night"
