Lust Capsule

Rob

TBD

Mr. T

Nelly Furtado - "Parking Lot"

G-Man

Goo Goo Dolls - "Black Balloon"

Always been a fan of John Rzeznik's writing skills. Some of the best and most indelible 90's alt-rock songs came from the Goo Goo Dolls. This was the fourth, I think, single from Dizzy Up The Girl, but I also enjoyed it the most. Listening to it again after all these years, really see it in a different light. 20 plus years, faded away so fast

Doug

Onyx - "Slam"

Dano

The Wailin' Jennys - "The Devil's Paintbrush Road"

Jonny HP

Plague Vendor - "Locomotive"

Mike D

The Halluci Nation - "Land Back" feat. The Beat & A Northern Voice

J.B.

Alfa Mist - "Mind The Gap" feat. Lex Amor

If you're looking for some Acid Jazz escapes, definitely check out Alfa Mist. Actually, even if you aren't an Acid Jazz aficiando, fear not. There is a place for you here.

The Lamp Post at the Edge of Winter

Well we're getting on in December, creeping towards that ever present day of Festive Cheer that rests on the 25th of this Month. Some of the lads, not all, have decided to get in the Holiday spirit already with their picks, let's take a look...

Rob-Nosed Reindeer

Jimmy Eat World - "Christmas Card"

Mr. T

Mickey Avalon - "My Dick"

Grinch-Man

Bruce Cockburn - "Mary Had A Baby"

This song is about to get stuck in your head until the end of December. Sorry, not sorry

Doug-nog

Frank Sinatra - "Adeste Fideles"

Dano

Johnny Hiland - "Barnyard Breakdown"

Jolly HP

Dropkick Murphys - "The Season's Upon Us"

Fear - "Fuck Christmas"

Mike D The Snowman

Goo Goo Dolls - "You Ain't Getting Nothin'"

Jingle Bells

John Lennon - "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)"

Forty years this week since, debatably the most iconic member of The Beatles (a generation?) was gunned down while outside his NYC apartment building. RIP.

Pitch White

Rob

Goo Goo Dolls - "Name"

Mr. T

Florence & The Machine - "I'm Going Down" feat. Kid Harpoon

Springsteen Cover. Stumbled across this one on the satellite radio and almost like it more that Springsteen's version. Great use of harmonies!!

G-Man

Jeff Rosenstock - "9/10"

This song has one of those familiar sounds, even if you've never heard it. It could be from one of multiple different decades. Cool sound. Effortless.

Doug

My Kullsvik - "Hello"

Dano

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - "Ten Thousand Hours"

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

Aftertaste - "Loud Luxury" feat. Morgan St. Jean

J.B.

Ketch Harbour Wolves - "The Signs Were Everywhere"

Since 2006 this Toronto band has really kept to their roots and have a great all around sound that's only developed and matured. They're less heard of but have kept providing me with some gems. It's music you can take anywhere. This track was actually featured in a great Canadian doc called Nine Rivers. Check it out
