Navy Red

Rob

Taking Back Sunday - "Up Against"

Mr. T

Tom Paxton - "Ramblin' Boy"

G-Man

Metallica - "Wherever I May Roam" (S&M2 Version)

At every occasion, a Metallica song. Though "Wherever I May Roam" was one I may have listened to too much in my days. A staple at live shows, it definitely got preferred treatment when they joined up with San Fancisco Symphony Orchestra. This take is from their second show together, 2019.

Doug

Natty Bong - "No Diggity"

Dano

Wilco & Billy Bragg - "Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key"

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

The Arkells & K. Flay - "You Can Get It"

J.B.

Tame Impala - "The Less I Know The Better"

Truly a mashup psychadelic/synth-pop band, Tame Impala has some ultra chill Summer tunes. I think we all need some feel good sounds these days. Seriously, give them a try, might not be your normal jam, but glad I tried them out.

Christiansands

Rob

Sparta - "La Cerca"

Mr. T

Bobby Vinton - "My Melody Of Love"

G-Man

Broken Social Scene - "Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl"

Broken Social Scene were essentially a musical collective comprised of the who's who on the Canadian Indie Music circuits of the late 90's to mid 2000's. Some former members who would go on to seperate stardom include Leslie Feist, Emily Haines of Metric and Torquil Campbell of Stars. Even though they've rotated anywhere between 9-15 members at once this song manages to have a stripped down, lo-fi scene that i've really found myself hunting down lately. Enjoy

Doug

Paul Simon - "Late In The Evening"

Dano

Sara Watkins - "You & Me"

Jonny HP

Queen - "Radio Ga Ga"

Mike D

Twenty One Pilots - "Message Man"

J.B.

Nada Surf - "Popular"

Nine albums...NINE ALBUMS?!?! Can you believe these guys are still together and touring? I loved this jam back in 1996 and remember waiting a good 4 or 5 hours watching Much Music to hit "record" on my VCR. But, I haven't heard a thing or at least that memorable since then. Happy Friday and keep the good vibes going.

Special Guest Pick!

Old Yurty Bastard

The Cure - "Never Enough"

Normalize

Rob

Incubus - "Make Yourself"

Mr. T

Mt. Joy - "Astrovan"

G-Man

Slipknot - "Everything Ends"

Every now and then I need to blast a song that matches my ire and violent urges. These days it seems more the norm than not, and i'm noticing that other people seemingly are on the same wavelength. Someday, like everything else, this pandemic will end, and I will post a song with tranquil and serene vibes as we celebrate a return to normalcy. Today is not that day however. Slipknot. Iowa. Track 5. Engage

Doug

Cake - "Satan Is My Motor"

Dano

Larkin Poe - "Blunt"

Jonny HP

Owl City - "This Isn't The End"

Mike D

A Day To Remember - "Paranoia"

J.B.

The Worst - "Man"

This is one hell of an obscure band with only one notable track that I could find. Pretty grim tune, but it's catchy as hell

Withstand Without Travel

Rob

Deftones - "Digital Bath"

Mr. T

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "The Impression That I Get"

G-Man

Supergrass - "St. Petersburg"

Supergrass are one of those bands that I only one, maybe two tracks by. Decided for some reason to do a deep dive on some of their other tracks and came up with a delightful fist full of tunes. "St. Petersburg" fit my mood today. Enjoy!

Doug

John Mayer - "Free Fallin'"

Dano

Death From Above 1979 - "Never Swim Alone"

Jonny HP

Liam Lynch - "United States Of Whatever"

Mike D

Presidents Of The United States Of America - "Peaches"

I had not heard this song before last week and now i've listened to it at least half a dozen times

J.B.

Consumed - "Bye Bye Fatman"

Centurion

Rob

Incubus - "A Crow Left Of The Murder"

Mr. T

Blind Faith - "Well All Right"

G-Man

The Rentals - "Friends Of P."

I think I initially dismissed this song because Weird Al made fun of it when he did his Much Music take over back in 1995/96. Revisiting this one again, because honestly it is purely a rapturous 90's pop experience. Also it's Matt and Patrick from Weezer!

Doug

JP Saxe & Maren Morris - "Line By Line"

Dano

Dragonforce - "Cry Thunder"

Jonny HP

Blue Oyster Cult - "Burnin' For You"

Mike D

Tokio Hotel - "Ready Set Go"

J.B.

Bouncing Souls - "True Believers"

Just an all around awesome tune. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck finding more super solid tracks by The Bouncing Souls. Happy Easter Friday ya fools.
