Razor Wire Shrine

It's October 28th! Which means it's the last Song Of The Day before Halloween. So some of our members, have decided to pick spooky scary tunes....others, well, I guess we'll find out!!

Monster T

Talking Heads - "Psycho Killer"

Ghoul-Man

Kirk Hammett - "Maiden and The Monster"

I'd like to see Metallica do a true Halloween song. Their lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is known for his obsession with classic horror movies and comics. Seems only fitting. He released his first solo EP this year and while there are no lyrics to speak of, a few of the tracks have that chilling feel.

Dead Doug

The Tragically Hip - "I'm A Werewolf Baby"

Danoooooooooooooooo!!!!

Rob Zombie - "Superbeast"

Jonny HP

Frightened Rabbit - "The Woodpile"

Mike Dread

Taylor Swift - "Anti-Hero"

J.B.

TBD

Samhain

Yes it is once again the Season of the Witch! So us Fall Children here at Song Of The Day Fridays are bringing you some spooky, creepy and downright haunting Halloween tracks! Enjoy the spirits this year friends and take these chilling tunes with you!

Rawwwwbbb

The Eagles - "Hotel California"

Not everyone's "Go To" Halloween song, but I always get this eerie feeling while listening to it! A rock classic and one HELL of a band!! Happy Halloween gang!!👻💀🎃

Monster T

The Connection - "(It's A) Monster Holiday"

Ghost Man

Metallica - "Of Wolf and Man"

October 28th 2021 was officially Metallica's 40th anniversary! So naturally i've got to give a tip of the hat to my long time lads! This is about as close as they got to a Halloween song, which is odd considering how big of a horror fan lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is. I guess they have covered quite a few Misfits songs. Anyway. I'm going with the S&M version of this song. I feel it got a great treatment with the Orchestra added in and can't go wrong with Jason Newsted on backing vocals.

Doug Up The Bones

The Watchmen - "Boneyard Tree"

Dano no No NO NONONO!! NOOO!!!!

Mastodon - "Halloween"

Jonny H Pumpkins

Fast Romantics - "This Is Why We Fight"

Mike Dead

Das Racist - "Combination Pizza Hut & Taco Bell"

J Beheaded

Bauhaus - "Bela Lugosi's Dead"

Prince - "Bat Dance"

A Fit Subject For Pity

Yes it is All' Hallow's Eve....Eve. So the lads down at Song Of The Day Friday decided to pick some of their favourite spooky, scary Halloween inspired tunes! Trust me, we're having skeleTONS of fun! Alright, sorry. Rob's first up

Robbin' For Apples

Rage Against The Machine - "The Ghost Of Tom Joad"

Sinister T

Alice Cooper - "Feed My Frankenstein"

Goblin Man

AFI - "Fall Children"

It makes sense for a band who's biggest inspirations were The Misfits and The Cramps to have some quality Halloween themed tunes. I could have picked any song of their All Hallow's EP, including a cover of the Misfits' "Halloween", but "Fall Children" is such a cool tune and I am one! So here ya go

John Carpenter - "Halloween Theme"

'Tis the season to watch some scary, horror flicks as well, and is there any better place to start than 1978's Halloween? I kinda thought the Youtube video was just including John Carpenter's name in there because he directed the film, but to my surprise also composed most of the music for it!

Count Dougula

Oingo Boingo - "Dead Man's Party"

Dan-O-Lantern

Rob Zombie - "Dragula"

Jonny Halloween Party

TBD

Mike Deceased

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - "Over At The Frankenstein Place"

Meatloaf - "Bat Out Of Hell"

Just Buried

Alice Cooper - "Feed My Frankenstein"

It's simple...it's totally a Halloween Song

October 28, 2016

Halloween is this Monday, so here at SOTD Fridays we're showcasing some of our favourite spooky songs, Halloween themed or even favourite costumed bands! Let's kick 'er off!!

Robenstein

Dave Matthews Band - "Halloween"

Tracy Jordan - "Werewolf Bar Mitzah"

Mr. Trick or Treat

Blue Oyster Cult - "(Don't Fear) The Reaper"

The Cramps - "Surfin' Dead"

The Edgar Winter Group - "Frankenstein"

Ghost-Man

Misfits - "Scream!"

Though I prefer the demo version of this song, the official video is kick ass! Made before all the recent zombie-apocalypse jerk-off fest was everywhere too. This song was written for the Scream soundtrack but not used

Cradle Of Filth - "Her Ghost In The Fog"

One of the best modern metal songs out there. The song is more about avenging a murdered lover than about ghosts n' stuff, but still creepy video, creepy scary vibe. Saw these guys live on Devil's Night with Gwar back in 2007. Great show

Dougula

Will Smith - "Nightmare On My Street"

Eminem - "Monster" feat. Rhianna

Dano-Lantern

Rob Zombie - "Mars Needs Women"

Holy Grail - "Exciter"
