a creature without fear.

Mr. T

Dyke & The Blazers - "Let A Woman Be A Woman (And A Man Be A Man)"

G-Man

Q Lazarus - "Goodbye Horses"

Note From J.B.: "Great Pick"

Going with an absolute classique tonight. Definitely falls under the category of "Meme Song" these days, but this is nothing of the sort. I unironically enjoyed this song when it came on my morning commute today and remembered back about 15 years ago when I rediscovered it. Those were great days

Doug

Krystallos

Mr. T

Tom Petty - "Louisiana Rain"

G-Man

Metallica - "Turn The Page"

Just because you hear it all the time doesn't mean it ain't great. The haunting first few guitar chords/slides of this one always brings me back to the cold dark winter of 1998. Amazing how quick sound can do that. We need Garage Inc 2 already!!!!

Doug

Everclear - "Volvo Driving Soccer Mom"

Dano

Priestess - "I Am The Night, Colour Me Black"

Jonny HP

David Bowie - "Changes"

Mike D

Queens Of The Stone Age - "Sick, Sick, Sick"

J.B.

Good Morning - "Warned You"

Good Morning - "$10"

Cryoseism

Rob

Better Than Ezra - "In The Blood"

Mr. T

Marc Ribler - "This Is How The Song Goes"

G-Man

Queens Of The Stone Age - "In The Fade"

You may not know his name but i'm sure you've heard Mark Lanegan's music. Lead singer of The Screaming Trees, founding member of Queens Of The Stone Age, a series of albums with Isobel Campbell of Belle & Sebastien, and of course, a prolific solo career. He passed away this week at the young age of 57. If you're into some dark, but well written music, give his catalog a listen. RIP Mark

Doug

Sam Hunt - "Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90's"

Dano

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - "Revolver"

These were the hardest picks without going with 12 of his tracks. The evil and the pretty in equal parts. That was Mark Lanegan

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - "Honey Child What Can I Do"

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

Muse - "Stockholm Syndrome"

As a tribute to one of the first songs I heard from them back in the Guitar Hero 3 Days

J.B.

Shakey Graves - "Late July"

A Rush Past the Ears; A Lifetime In Memory

Rob

Mos Def - "Ms. Fat Booty"

Mr. T

Stray Cats - "Rock This Town"

G-Man

Funeral For A Friend - "Streetcar"

I May have picked this one before. Who gives a care though? I'm always transported back to late 2005, early 2006 when I hear this. A time of great liberation for me. Musical discovery. Everynight I would dive head first into the web and come out with pockets full of new tracks. Bottles filled with feelings from those days would be difficult to keep on the shelves.

Doug

Childish Gambino - "This Is America"

Note from G-Man: Great Pick

Dano

Queens Of The Stone Age - "Song For The Deaf"

Jonny HP

TBD

March 3, 2017

Rob

Temple Of The Dog - "Hungerstrike"

Mr. T

Steve Earle - "Justice In Ontario"

G-Man

The Offspring - "Want You Bad"

Yes there was some great music in the oft-forgotten decade of the Aughts and I intend to highlight some in the coming weeks. The Offspring's sound changed a bit from what they became to known for on albums like Smash and Ignition, but it doesn't mean the music wasn't good. Like "Want You Bad" from Conspiracy Of One.

Doug

Stevie Wonder - "I Was Made To Love Her"

Dano

Queens Of The Stone Age - "Goin' Out West"
