The Unfaithful Ways - "Won't You Watch Her Lillies Grow"
Led by Marlon Williams, these guys got their start in New Zealand. I'm not usually big on this style of, revivalist, old school type folky music, but this song really hit me as I sat alone in the gym the other day.
Well friends, after some careful deliberation we here at Song Of The Day Fridays have decided that after 10 years, we've said all that could possibly be said with this blog. Let's see what the gents have in store for us...
Still discovering great "new-to-me" gems from the batch of CDs gifted to me by one Jonny HP. I knew i'd find some good stuff on the Murder By Death albums I never absorbed.
Theses guys came on the radio randomly while I was in Toronto over New Years, not this song, but not "Lovefool" either. Made me think of this banger of a track. Takes me immediately back to 2006, when I was introduced to a flood of great tunes new and old that I previously hadn't had the chance to experience.
