Caution Horses

Mr. Tidings, he brings

Run DMC - "Christmas In Hollis"

G-Man

Dr. Dre - "Fuck You"

I'll do a Christmas song next week for sure! I heard this track for the first time recently and damn what a smooth beat. Nothing wrong with a dirty song once in a while anyway

Doug

Rush - "A Passage To Bangkok"

Dano

Charlotte Day Wilson - "Work"

Jonny HP

The Pine Box Boys - "Will You Remember Me?"

Mike D

Massive Attack - "Teardrop"

J.B.

Joey Purp - "Elastic"

Green Noise

Mr. T

Burt Bacharach - "What The World Needs Now"

G-Man

Panic! At The Disco - "Don't Let The Light Go Out"

Most modern music just lacks that certain something. That thing that makes a song get stuck in your head or stops you in your tracks when it connects with a feeling or a memory deep within. Songs like that do exist these days, just have to penetrate a bit deeper below the surface. I believe Panic! At The Disco are calling it quits. Not a bad song to cap off a career

Doug

Warren Zevon - "Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead"

Dano

Crown Lands - "Starlifter: Fearless Pt. 2"

Dudes, they travelled back in time and brought back the song Rush forgot they'd written

Jonny HP

Red Dirt, Tejano

Rob

TBD

Mr. T

Chris Stapleton - "Friendship"

G-Man

Lucinda Williams - "Can't Let Go"

Lucinda Williams is a name that's been orbiting around my musical core for sometime but never really absorbed anything by her, until recently. Finally decided to check out her 1998 album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, which is largely considered to be her finest effort. Though it's a country/bluegrass record it really struck a nerve. I'm getting more accepting in my old age

Doug

Heartland - "I Loved Her First"

Note from G-Man: "Three Country songs in a row?? A Song of the Day first!"

Dano

Rush - "Garden Road (Live)"

Rob

Three Days Grace - "Now Or Never"

Mr. T

Mink DeVille - "Mixed Up Shook Up Girl"

G-Man

Frightened Rabbit - "My Backwards Walk"

I was a bit mixed up and confused earlier this week. I'm back now. Not wearing my hat on my feet nor my shoes on my head. However, on this warm Summer night, I bring with me this song, which is great for sitting in my garden throne, watching the beacons of the moon appearing one by one

Doug

The Verve Pipe - "The Freshman"

Dano

Rush - "La Villa Strangiato"

PS it's Alex Lifeson's birthday today

Queens Of The Stone Age - "No One Knows"

And Songs For The Deaf  came out 18 years ago today

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

Travis Scott - "The Plan"

J.B.

Blitzen Trapper - "Furr"

So I try and find tracks that capture a feeling or a moment or a memory. A little sappy but i'm cool with it. Nothing's better than having a song that helps me reflect on camping trips. Rather than your classics which might send you to that 'special' place this is one of my favourite latest tracks, hell it's even full of imagery and nature sounds. If you're really jonesing for some outdoor reflection  without getting out there, go watch some Hinterland Who's Who! As for me, i'll be back in few days..

Mr. T

The Who - "Join Together"

Rush - "Closer To The Heart"

G-Man

The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart - "Twins"

Not exactly sure how this song came into my world. It's one of those tracks that will cycle around at about 4:30am on a drive to work and completely derail your day. A million memories and moments crammed into a 3 minute song

Rush - "Distant Early Warning"

RIP Neil Peart

Doug

The Black Keys - "Lonely Boy"

Dano

Rush - "YYZ"

Rush - "The Analog Kid (Live)"

Great Canadian Songs For Canada's 150!

Robertson Screwdriver

Rascalz - "Northern Touch" (feat. Choclair, Checkmate, Thrust & Kardinal Offishal)

Mr. Trudeau

The Tragically Hip - "Ahead By A Century"

Governor General Man

Philosopher Kings - "Charms"

These guys had a solid run during the 90's, though they never broke into the US market. We'll happily call them our own here in Canada. A couple members went on to form Prozzak, but "Charms" is their shining jewel. Great baby making music. Something else Canadians are good at

Nickelback - "If Everyone Cared"

I could rant on and on about how Nickelback don't deserve the hate they deserve but when it gets right down to it I might as well just let this song speak for itself.

Doug Mackenzie

Michael Buble - "Feeling Good"

Dan O'Canada

Death From Above 1979 - "Sexy Results"

Rush - "Analog Kid" (Live)

Jonny Hockey Practice

The Arcade Fire - "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)"
