Wolvish-Ravening Lamb

Mr. T

The Dollyrots - "Night Owl"

Billy Idol - "White Wedding"

For my Grandma's 90th birthday on Saturday!

G-Man

33 - "Rich Happy"

I've been searching for this song since 1997....I saw the video one Summer's day watching Much Music and it was featured in the Indie Spotlight. The chorus has been an earworm for me this whole time. 26 years i've been on my quest, was starting to think it was a dream. Finally, it appears the director of the video posts it to Youtube and one of my occasional, yearly google searches comes back with one positive result. Never give up kids.

Doug

Missing St. Augustine

One of last week's write-ups gave the boys here at Song Of The Day Fridays an idea for a theme. Great songs that remind them of parties from their younger days. As always they are free to interperet that at their leisure and also as always Rob get's us under way...

Rob

Snoop Dogg - "Gin & Juice"

Mr. T

Billy Idol - "Mony, Mony"

Here's the story: Drunk at a high school party. "Mony, Mony" comes on and we all start singing the part, when my buddy Ryan starts screaming "Fuck a pony! Fuck a pony!" So drunk he goofed the lyrics and it stuck forever!

G-Man

Old Dirty Bastard - "Got Your Money"

They say High School is the best time of your life. Well i'd agree with that statement if I could stretch my OAC year over the whole experience. My graduating class (Class of 2000!) was a unique one, where that we all got along despite the different varying cliques. The last few months leading up to Graduation saw a new party every weekend. This song will always remind me of one of the cottage parties, probably early June. At the time it felt like I had 50 friends, there was no negativity.  I think we all knew the significance of being the class of 2000 without dwelling on it too much. Just trying to hang on to a few wonderful, happy moments

Doug

Spirit Of The West - "Home For A Rest"

Dano

Tool - "Invincible"

Starts out Mastodon, turns into Counterparts Rush and ends in total Tool. Flawless. This is the smartest and most thought out album i have ever fucking heard

Jonny HP

Notorious B.I.G - "Juicy"

Mike D

Kid Cudi - "Day n' Nite"

Relive The Right Side Wrong

Rob

Days Of The New - "The Down Town"

Mr. T

David Rawlings - "Cumberland Gap"

Note from G-Man: "Old Crow?"

G-Man

Honest Bob & The Factory To Dealer Incentives - "Hey"

One of our newer members picks a lot of songs from Rock Band and the like. I remember hearing many cool songs from the early days of Guitar Hero and what not. For some reason those days and memories were swirling around my head this morning. This is one of those tracks I heard and loved while fumbling miserably through the game

Doug

Billy Idol - "Dancing With Myself"

Dano

Jonny Toman & Brendan Hendry - "Yew Piney Mountain"

It's a traditional one but their arrangement is unreal. And Jonny absolutely owns the banjo

Jonny HP

Pearl Jam - "Rats"

Mike D

Twenty One Pilots - "Level Of Concern"

Rob

Lukas Rossi - "Headspin"

Mr. T

Billy Idol - "Hot In The City"

G-Man

John Legend - "Who Did That To You"

A Great song introduced to me by my fiance. This one is taken from the Django: Unchained soundtrack, which i've only seen the first scene twice and fell asleep. Im sure the movie is great, it's just the situation I was in that made me tired. Great song from a great song writer!

Doug

Headstones - "Unsound"

Dano

The Sword - "(The Night The Sky Cried) Tears Of Fire"

The White Buffalo - "Insane"

Jonny HP
