Halloween is this Tuesday!! Though it seems all but a few of our Song Of The Day members have forgotten that....hey, maybe their picks just really meant alot to them this week. Let's see what we got. Mr. T? You're up!
Mr. T
Blink 182 - "What's My Age Again?"
Ghoul-Man
Blink 182 - "One More Time"
Great new song from Blink 182 right here. Honest and powerful. Seems like they really sat down and hashed things out. It's been a great year for new music from older rock bands. Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Baroness. Green Day's new song sounds pretty good! Even the Rolling Stones have a new album! Now we just need some younger bands to take note and join the party. Let's have a new rock revolution!
Man, when this song was big it was everywhere. I'm pretty sure it was track 5 or 6 on one of my very first Mixed Tapes that I would make. "The Best Of The 90's". A tape I made in 1997, before the 90s were even sorted out. I saw the music video the other day, on some channel that still plays videos and it just captivated me again. Like hearing the song and seeing the video for the first time. It's when those feelings and emotions get prodded is one of the reasons why we enjoy music in the first place
G-Man Jars Of Clay - "Liquid"
Hey, look at that. I picked a Christian rock tune and didn't get engulfed by flames. "Flood" was the bigger hit off this album, but this one's got that cooler 90's alt-vibe
Doug Bruce Cockburn - "Lovers In A Dangerous Time"
Shine on you crazy diamond
Dano The Wailin' Jennys - "Bird Song"
Ruth Moody just kills me playing that banjo
