1990 was a simpler time. When it came to music, we weren't sure what we were doing. We were supposed to be out of the 80's and looking for something more modern and definitive, but hadn't predicted the grunge movement. Some great songs and artists got overlooked. Criminally so. The Lightning Seeds and "Pure" was one of these instances. Just simply, one of the best songs ever written

This one walks the fine line of being a Christmas song, it was included on Hawksley Workman's Christmas themed album Full Moon Eleven back in 2011. Though it's a cover of a Bruce Cockburn song which wasn't intended to be used for the holidays. It fits perfectly this time of yea though, not really happy nor sad. More introspective and isolated. Deep in self reflection among the happy masses.
