Caution Horses

Mr. Tidings, he brings

Run DMC - "Christmas In Hollis"

G-Man

Dr. Dre - "Fuck You"

I'll do a Christmas song next week for sure! I heard this track for the first time recently and damn what a smooth beat. Nothing wrong with a dirty song once in a while anyway

Doug

Rush - "A Passage To Bangkok"

Dano

Charlotte Day Wilson - "Work"

Jonny HP

The Pine Box Boys - "Will You Remember Me?"

Mike D

Massive Attack - "Teardrop"

Vulpine

 Mr. T

The Grateful Dead - "Shakedown Street"

G-Man

Spiritualized - "Ladies & Gentlemen We're Floating In Space"

A song from 1997. I know i've heard the band name before and I think they've been recommended to me once or twice in the past. I know i've even seen this song name written a few times before. I only finally got around to let this song wash over me this past week...music is great

Doug

Lawrence - "I'm Confident That I'm Insecure"

Dano

Flume & Chet Faker - "Drop The Game"

Jonny HP

James Leg - "Drinking Too Much"

Where All The Rivers Run Dry

Mr. T

Buju Banton - "Untold Stories"

Glory Hallelujah-Man

The Pogues - "Fairytale Of New York"

Bittersweet pick right here. It's officially December so I can allow myself to get into the festive mood with some Xmas music, but sad news yesterday as legendary Pogues frontman Shane McGowan passes away at 65. Shocked he was only 65. Shocked he lived that long. RIP. Thanks for the beautiful art

Doug

Cake - "Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps"

Bonjour from Paris!!

Dano

The Pogues - "Turkish Song Of The Damned"

For Shane McGowan

Jonny HP

Bear's Den - "Agape"

Mike D

Jacob Collier - "Witness Me" feat. Shawn Mendes, Stormzy & Kirk Franklin

Scott Helman - "Chuck Taylors"

J.B.

Death Cab For Cutie - "Brothers On A Hotel Bed"

Man...story to tell with this song

Corvus Capensis

Mr. T

Derek & The Dominos - "Keep On Growing"

G-Man

Against Me! - "Tonight We're Gonna Give It 35%"

Against Me! is one of those bands that I can enjoy almost everything by. Pick and record they release, front and back, every song. This is one of their earliest tunes, a b-side off a single from 2002. One of the most honest and heart wrenching songs in their catalog. And thats a competitive category

Doug

Said The Whale - "Camilo (The Magician)"

Dano

Hermano Guiterrez - "Esperanza"

Jonny HP

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - "After The Flesh"

Mike D

La+ch - ":p"

J.B.

Eyedress - "My Simple Jeep"

Thursday, 16 November 2023

Phosphorescence

Mr. T

Elvis Costello - "I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down"

G-Man

CKY - "Close Yet Far"

A few weeks ago I picked a CKY track after kind of discovering how cool they were. Well here's another one from Camp Kill Yourself, just because i'm not done with them yet

Doug

The Regrettes - "Monday"

Dano

Battle Tapes - "Belgrade"

Jonny HP

Korn - "Clown"

Mike D

TBD

J.B.

Radiohead - "No Surprises"

Thursday, 9 November 2023

Cardboard Bull

Mr. T

Sammy Hagar & The Wabos - "I Love This Bar"

G-Man

Teaze - "Heartless World"

One of the best forgotten Canadian metal classics ever, maybe even one of the best forgotten metal songs in general. Just perfect execution here all the way from 1979, and as the years go by, the sentiment gets more and more true

Doug

Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock - "It Takes Two"

Dano

Metric - "Gold Guns Girls"

Jonny HP

The Airborne Toxic Event - "Happiness Is Overrated"

Mike D

We The Kings - "Check Yes, Juliet"

J.B.

Snuff - "All You Need"
