The stillness and calmness of this track hit me like a ton of bricks the other day. From a band that is typically associated with chaos and mercurial energy. Mike Patton and crew put their musical prowess and talent on full display right here.
Been listening to alot of my Soundtracks lately, and that includes 1998's The Lost Highway. Reznor had a big hand at producing the music for the film and even contributed several NIN songs. This one is the album's highlight and perhaps one of the best songs of the 90's. Enjoy!
Man, when this song was big it was everywhere. I'm pretty sure it was track 5 or 6 on one of my very first Mixed Tapes that I would make. "The Best Of The 90's". A tape I made in 1997, before the 90s were even sorted out. I saw the music video the other day, on some channel that still plays videos and it just captivated me again. Like hearing the song and seeing the video for the first time. It's when those feelings and emotions get prodded is one of the reasons why we enjoy music in the first place
Today Metallica 11th studio album is unleashed on the world, and while I don't have it in my hot little hands yet, the band has done a great job teasing us fans with 4 songs leading up to release date. So far so good. With this album's release they now have albums spanning 5 decades. 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's and 20's. Long live the kings of Metal.

Great classic punk song from a great Irish punk band!
The Arcade Fire - "Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)"
As you can see from Mr. T's pick above, some of us here in the Ottawa Valley are dealing with power outages due to an Ice Storm in FUCKING APRIL!!! Nowhere near as devastating as the Ice Storm that knocked us out for weeks almost months back in 1998, but it is bringing back some memories. Some of the Canadian members of the Arcade Fire experienced that Storm as well and wrote a song about their memories.
