Unbeing Dead

Rob

Jimmy Eat World - "Polaris"

Mr. T

Juanes - "Dancing In The Dark"

G-Man

Morphine - "Honey White"

Some day i'll dive into the fascinating, mysterious and ultimately tragic tale of Morphine. A band from the 90's lightyears ahead of their time, yet somehow came along 40 years too late as well. "Honey White" has an instantly recognizable hook, familiar yet unplaceable.

Doug

Amos Lee - "Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight"

Dano

Crooked Still - "Railroad Bill"

Jonny HP

Mother Mother - "Hayloft"

Mike D

Judas Priestess - "The Hellion / Electric Eye"

J.B.

The Doobie Brothers - "What A Fool Believes"

Come on now, The Doobz always have a good place for a Friday. Put pm your mask, get outside and I dare ya to go for a walk to this. The world will feel all sorts of right

Sitting In The Swan

Rob

Coheed & Cambria - "The Willing Well III: Apollo II: The Telling Truth"

Mr. T

Mike Rocket - "Give The Girl A Kiss"

G-Man

Lightning Seeds - "Pure"

1990 was a simpler time. When it came to music, we weren't sure what we were doing. We were supposed to be out of the 80's and looking for something more modern and definitive, but hadn't predicted the grunge movement. Some great songs and artists got overlooked. Criminally so. The Lightning Seeds and "Pure" was one of these instances. Just simply, one of the best songs ever written

Doug

The Tragically Hip - "38 Years Old"

The Hip have a new album coming out!! Song Of The Day!

Dano

The Kills - "Love Is A Deserter"

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

Alex Lahey - "Every Day's The Weekend"

J.B.

Anti-Flag  - "You'd Do The Same"

Phantasmagoria

Rob

New Found Glory - "Iris"

So the past little while my good buddy G-Man has been doing the alphabetical band names....so good! So Song of The Day part One today is the letter N! So many great groups. Where to start?

Oleander - "Why I'm Here"

Naturally tomorrow will be the letter "O"

Mr. T

Buddy Guy - "Best in Town"

G-Man

Sleaford Mods - "Tweet Tweet Tweet"

This one is a little atypical of my normal style of picks. Something about these guys is so solid. Great backbeats and music. Unique vocal style and just a fresh sound all around. Thanks Iggy.

Doug

Diamante & Breaking Benjamin - "Iris"

Dano

MSTRKRFT - "Runaway"

Jonny HP

George Harrison - "My Sweet Lord"

Mike D

BLACKPINK - "How You Like That"

J.B.

Death From Above 1979 - "One + One"

A Shriek; Inhuman

Rob

Alter Bridge - "In Loving Memory"

Mr. T

Damian Marley - "Living It Up"

G-Man

Tom Waits - "I Don't Wanna Grow Up"

This year i'll be 40....sigh. I am grown up. I'm a father. I have responsibilities...I know this. But sometimes, the words to this song still linger in the chambers of my memories...maybe just one more time on the merry go round? What do you say?

Doug

Dean Lewis - "Half A Man"

Dano

Cleopatrick - "Hometown"

Jonny HP

Skeeter Davis - "End Of The World"

Mike D

A Day To Remember - "Mind Reader"

J.B.

Unwritten Law - "Harmonic"

I found this song when I needed it most. If you're going through something and need to get out of your own head, this is seriously the track for you. The ramp up and the consistent lyrics will take you to that good place.

Navy Red

Rob

Taking Back Sunday - "Up Against"

Mr. T

Tom Paxton - "Ramblin' Boy"

G-Man

Metallica - "Wherever I May Roam" (S&M2 Version)

At every occasion, a Metallica song. Though "Wherever I May Roam" was one I may have listened to too much in my days. A staple at live shows, it definitely got preferred treatment when they joined up with San Fancisco Symphony Orchestra. This take is from their second show together, 2019.

Doug

Natty Bong - "No Diggity"

Dano

Wilco & Billy Bragg - "Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key"

Jonny HP

TBD

Mike D

The Arkells & K. Flay - "You Can Get It"

J.B.

Tame Impala - "The Less I Know The Better"

Truly a mashup psychadelic/synth-pop band, Tame Impala has some ultra chill Summer tunes. I think we all need some feel good sounds these days. Seriously, give them a try, might not be your normal jam, but glad I tried them out.

Christiansands

Rob

Sparta - "La Cerca"

Mr. T

Bobby Vinton - "My Melody Of Love"

G-Man

Broken Social Scene - "Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl"

Broken Social Scene were essentially a musical collective comprised of the who's who on the Canadian Indie Music circuits of the late 90's to mid 2000's. Some former members who would go on to seperate stardom include Leslie Feist, Emily Haines of Metric and Torquil Campbell of Stars. Even though they've rotated anywhere between 9-15 members at once this song manages to have a stripped down, lo-fi scene that i've really found myself hunting down lately. Enjoy

Doug

Paul Simon - "Late In The Evening"

Dano

Sara Watkins - "You & Me"

Jonny HP

Queen - "Radio Ga Ga"

Mike D

Twenty One Pilots - "Message Man"

J.B.

Nada Surf - "Popular"

Nine albums...NINE ALBUMS?!?! Can you believe these guys are still together and touring? I loved this jam back in 1996 and remember waiting a good 4 or 5 hours watching Much Music to hit "record" on my VCR. But, I haven't heard a thing or at least that memorable since then. Happy Friday and keep the good vibes going.

Special Guest Pick!

Old Yurty Bastard

The Cure - "Never Enough"

Normalize

Rob

Incubus - "Make Yourself"

Mr. T

Mt. Joy - "Astrovan"

G-Man

Slipknot - "Everything Ends"

Every now and then I need to blast a song that matches my ire and violent urges. These days it seems more the norm than not, and i'm noticing that other people seemingly are on the same wavelength. Someday, like everything else, this pandemic will end, and I will post a song with tranquil and serene vibes as we celebrate a return to normalcy. Today is not that day however. Slipknot. Iowa. Track 5. Engage

Doug

Cake - "Satan Is My Motor"

Dano

Larkin Poe - "Blunt"

Jonny HP

Owl City - "This Isn't The End"

Mike D

A Day To Remember - "Paranoia"

J.B.

The Worst - "Man"

This is one hell of an obscure band with only one notable track that I could find. Pretty grim tune, but it's catchy as hell
