From maybe the Pumpkins' best album, this one took a while for me to appreciate. But once it took it's hold, it's like being wrapped in a warm blanket of guitar fuzz and wall of sound distortion. Enjoy

In the early, mid and late 90's one could make the argument that some of the best hip hop conglomerations could be found there. One of these phenomenal colabs is Goodie Mob. Cee-Lo (early years for sure, before his more poppy tunes came in) and even more notably, Outkast. Love this rich era of hip hop experimentation and dark lyrics.
Back in 2019 I decided I liked Ghost. Everything I heard by them had a distinct hookability with a tinge of aggression and a horror motif. Though I had yet to pick up any of their albums. Until recently. This is a deep track off Prequelle. Just a solid song all around.

I'm not usually into Post Malone's scene or for the most part of Top 40 (Sure i've got a few guilty pleasures) but this tune definitely hits some feel good vibes for a Friday choice
Walk Among Us was also the name of the first album released by the first incarnation of The Misfits. Though it wasn't the first album recorded, believe it or not, it wasn't easy for punk bands to easily record and release albums back in the late 70's early 80's. This song however comes from the second version of the famous punk band with Michale Graves on lead vocals. I like the choice for Graves to replace Danzig when the band reformed. Not a Danzig clone, Graves really brought his own flare to the band. This song is obviously a nod to the Misfits' earlier days

G-Man The Distillers - "I Am A Revenant"
As a punk fan I found myself going through ebbs and flows of the certain style of punk i'd be drawn towards. More often than not, it's that raw but not basement-produced, aggressive but not incomprehensible, and lightning quick but not under 2 minutes long kind of punk that produced a much required itch to be scratched. "I Am A Revenant" by The Distillers checks all those boxes in a way my words cannot elucidate.

Mind On The Moon was kind of a comeback album for Toronto reggae master Snow. Though he has had several albums since his debut in 1993, this was the first album with singles that broke through to the charts. In my opinion it was ahead of it's time. This song is tough to describe. The reaction people have to it is fair in their own way. Take a listen and decide for yourself and remember that this was released in the year 2000
